Sick!!!!

So I've been sick for 3 days now. I don't know what I have but I refuse to go to the doctor. I did manage to catch up on some sewing and I have a few new things to add to my shop. But I'm so tired and all I want to do is sleep. But on a better note I did watch two really great movies, Little Children (R) and The Nanny Diaries (PG-13). Both really great movies. Well I must get back to work. Happy Hump Day :).

Family Day - Botanical Gardens, Washington DC

My family and I went on a nice outing last weekend to the Botanical Gardens in DC. Our son liked grabbing every plant in sight and trying to put it in his mouth, but overall he seemed amazed by all the colors and pretty flowers we looked at. My husband and I agreed that we'll have to come during the week to take more photos of the gorgeous orchids they had on display. I wonder where we'll go this weekend.

Craft Show March 8, 2008

I will be selling some of my pieces at an upcoming craft show at Garfield High School in Woodbridge, VA. If you're local or just driving through, you should stop by. There will be lots of great crafters there.

I made this monster for my friend's son. I love how it came out and he loved it too! There will be some up for sale in a few weeks.

Owl

So my sister gave me some leftover fabric she had from this purse she made during Christmas. So I came up with this Owl. I like how it came out and I plan to make more and add them to my Etsy shop and also sell them at my upcoming craft show. There still a few things I would like to change on it, but I'm happy with it!

So here is the another Lil Monster I made a few weeks ago. I was debating on whether or not to sell him in my Etsy shop. But I think I'll keep him for myself.

Martin Luther King Day

I had a dream....a dream that I had the day off! But I guess I'll have to reflect at my desk on the great things Mr. King did for our country.

Whack Movies

My husband and I watched this funny but really stupid movie over the weekend. Cool Beans...Cool Beans (you'll get it if you watch the movie). Oh yeah the soundtrack has some great songs on it too!

AAAHHH! Monsters

So I started sewing some softies. They're these funky looking monsters I designed myself. I plan to make lots more. So far I"ve made about six now and I'll be posting more pictures of them later this week. I do have two for sale in my shop. Check out the pics below.

Craft Show

So I was in a craft show in November 07" ( I know it's a bit late to talk about it). But I actually did really well and I"ll be doing another show in March. I've got a lot of sewing to do, but it should be good times! I like how my mom didn't take a pic of my stuff at the table...well she did, you can see it on the left...Oh yeah and that's me standing next to my dad...you like the face?

New Year...New Things

I hope everyone enjoyed there holidays. Mine was alright. I did get a new sewing machine which was pretty awesome. Below is one of my bibs I finished...using my new machine. It will make it's debut on Etsy very soon!

My Shop
Speaking of a shop, I finally started one on Etsy. I'm so excited and hope I can sell some things. This is very new for me and I'm proud of myself for getting it done.

I finally finished my red had and added a cute lady bug button to it! It took me a week to finish. Its for sale in my Etsy shop.

Meet Pierre

I finally finished my dog from the book Sock and Glove by Miyako Kanamori. He was very easy to make and he's so soft. I really recommend this book! (I'll have better pictures to post later)

Thursday

So I'm thinking of some things to come up with for this craft show I'm doing with my mom. Right now all I can think about is my son and husband...Thursdays can be so boring.

So it has been a while since I last got on here. But a lot has happened in a year...look I had a baby! He's 3 months old and he's modeling one of the hats I made for him. He looks like a grumpy old man.

This is the third knitted babe I finally finished. Her name is Stella. I'm still working on my second one, she needs clothes!
